What I got for Christmas

With the completion date on my first home around the corner, Christmas presents this year was the furthest thing from my mind, as it made more sense to hold off on receiving gifts as I would rather people help out when I’m really going to need it. But knowing my family they just can’t help themselves – and so I woke up on the 25th December to such beautiful gifts from my nearest and dearest.

Emu Australia Mayberry Slippers

I first came across through Lydia Elise Millen’s youtube channel and after living in my UGG Scuffette II for the last 6 years (and they still look like new) I was a little sceptical about getting my hands on these.

Diptyque Winter Set 5 Mini Candles

My obsession with candles is slowly getting out of hand and ever since I smelt Diptyque at Selfridges back in December I have not stopped talking about them, and it’s clearly got to the point where my amazing work colleagues are so sick of me going on about them they gifted me this beautiful winter set with an array of warm, cosy scents which are perfect for a cold winter evening.

Oliver Bonas Marble & Copper Letter Coasters

There was a clear theme this Christmas with the gifts I received from family and friends knowing I will be entering 2018 with the monster task of furnishing my first home. So when I opened these beautiful marble and copper letter coasters from my wonderful mother she had gotten me the perfect gift which I cannot wait to have front and centre when we finally move in.

Beauty & Beast Chip Mug

Growing up my favourite Disney princess film was actually The Little Mermaid, I was fascinated by Ariel’s lushes long red hair but when the remake of Beauty & The Beast launched, the merchandise that came along with it produced possibly one of the cutest tableware pieces possible. The Chip mug was too perfect for everyone not to want one at Christmas and I was no exception.

Valentino – Valentina Blush Perfume

So there is quite a funny story behind this gift, back in November myself and Kyle (the boyfriend) decided it was the time we made a start to our Christmas shopping and during the drive to Cardiff we made a list of what we wanted to get for each family member. One gift we just had to get was the Valentino – Uomo for Kyle’s dad, as since I bought this for Kyle back in 2016 his dad has been secretly stealing it for himself so it was a no-brainer to get him his very own bottle. Everyone knows the struggle of making your way through the perfume section of John Lewis and in the process we came across the new Valentina scents which are available in 4 different options – and I just had to test them all and instantly I fell in-love with the Blush scent it was simply divine. After setting a £50 budget for each other this year I knew I wasn’t going to be receiving this fragrance for Christmas but was very excited opening up this gift from my love as he is just as fussy on the fragrances I wear as I am.

Urban Decay – The Ultimate Pair Duo

I’m not really a lipstick person and never have been, this is because I don’t have a distinct upper cupids bow which has always irritated me when it comes to lipsticks as it takes far too long ‘faking’ that I do. But after swatching the lip pencil which has a very creamy consistency I was surprised by how easy it was to use and how long-lasting the lipstick is – after all, there was no better time to test drive it than during my NYE meal with friends.
